Fall Family Session With Small Children

Don’t you think a fall family session is like Christmas for photographers?

For this fall family session, we discussed the session goals, outfits, everyone’s personalities, and the feel of the session during my pre-session consultation with the client.

Given their preferences, we agreed to do a nature session. We wanted to take advantage of the warm, rich colors in the environment and soft, autumn evening light to create the warm, dreamy fall images they were requesting.

I approached this session knowing that the final product was going to be a custom wall gallery for my client’s new home. I wanted to present them with a wide variety of images, including individual portraits of each child, siblings together, and a few family portraits. The family was thrilled with their gallery and had a hard time choosing images for their custom framed wall gallery for their home, which is a good problem to have!
