A Classy and Elegant Maternity Session

This classy and elegant maternity session was the result of a client asking for something a little different.
When a client hires me to take her pregnancy photos, the session usually occurs either in my Atlanta photography studio or in a park in the Atlanta area. Well, this gorgeous mama asked for something a little out of the ordinary! She did not want to stand in a beautiful dress in a park or in the woods somewhere. She envisioned herself with lights behind her since it was Christmas-time and wanted a more elegant and classy feel to the session.
Well, I had just the idea for her!
It’s so nice when a client asks for something a little outside the norm of what I’m used to doing. This made me step outside the box, be a little creative, and I sure did love the end result!
I took her and the family to a gorgeous, high-end shopping district in Atlanta where there are lights on the trees at dusk time. Mama wore a beautiful fitted black maternity dress that made her stand out among the lighted trees. I found a perfect storefront with mirror-like windows that gave a gorgeous profile reflection of mama and baby bump. The vibrant colors behind her from the buildings, the lights, and the trees added color and warm light, which made this maternity session elegant and classy – just what my client wanted!
