The Portrait Dude has been shooting cosplayers in the Midwest/Eastern United States since the fall of 2013. “Wes (or “The Dude” as many of his cosplay friends call him) is based out of Columbus, Ohio and travels to various conventions all over the United States. With a life long love of comic books and nerd culture in general, Wes loves to use his camera to show cosplayers not only how awesome they look in their costumes, but to boost their confidence and encourage them to dream big and take the limits off what they think they can do. When asked about his unique signature style of shooting, he will tell you, “I just show people what’s already there. I just see things a little different than you do.”.
